Interior trends from Las Vegas Market Summer 2024

color and furnishing trends for 2025

It's been years since I've attended Las Vegas Summer Market. However, an invite to speak about smartphone photography brought me out to this west coast summer market. Below is a photo a friend took of me sharing smartphone camera tips to a large group of designers.

I'll admit it was very surreal seeing myself on big cubes all around Market!

Vegas market is a lot smaller than High Point Market so it's much easier to navigate and spot all the trends. Most of what I observed was similar to what I had seen last Spring at High Point. Here is a summary of what is trending in home for 2025.

Color

As I observed at Spring Market, neutrals continue to trend warmer. The showrooms were full with lots of creams, taupe, brown and beige. Warm reds, cinnamon, terracotta, blues, eggplant, earthy greens, and a hot new trend color, GINGER, rounded out the palette.

I saw the color Ginger at High Point but it was much more prevalent in the showrooms in Vegas...it was everywhere!

Not only on furniture but accessories as well.

For anyone wondering, I didn't see a single gray sofa which I know is welcome news to so many of you. There were small amounts of grey in art work and accessories since so many still have grey in their home they have to work with.

You know warm neutrals are going to be around for a while when new table top is shown in creams, browns and taupe.

People generally aren't going to be replacing their dishes every year.

All three of these table top images were from different showrooms yet they all displayed the same warm tones.

 Curves

The trend of curvy lines or what I heard someone call "visual movement" was spotted everywhere and on so many products including upholstery, case goods, lighting and accessories.

Curved lines are soothing and make us feel safe. Feeling safe and cocooned in our home is something we are seeking out, especially in today's volatile world.

Many of the chairs and sofas seemed to be designed to hug the sitter.

This curved basket was a great example of visual movement.

Lot's of case goods were sporting a curved silhouette.

This dining table reminded me of an cannon ball bed I had as a child.

Organic Materials

We are continuing to bring nature into our homes through the use of stone, natural fibers, sea grass, wood, feathers, and shells.

Stone is no longer just for counter tops. I saw it used for tables, lamps, and accessories.

Below are two stone tables with a stone lamp on top

Natural fibers used for lighting is also a huge trend. Sea grass, wicker, and rattan, was spotted in multiple lighting showrooms.

This sea grass covered console table was a favorite find for me.

 Texture, texture everywhere!

Texture and highly embellished case goods, furniture, lighting and accessories was hard to miss.

This textured cozy fabric looks so beautiful in the showrooms but in my experience it is really hard to clean.

So many of the images I took be under multiple trends. These chairs fall under the ginger color trend, textured fabric and curves.

This sofa shown in a nubby cinnamon and brown fabric was a reminder that stripes and plaids are also trending. Notice too the brown grass cloth walls.

Other than stone surfaces, it was hard to find a smooth surface.

Even traditionally smooth items such as vases and planters had some type of texture applied.

So many items were just begging to be touched!

This dining table was in a different showroom but was a variation on the cannon ball leg on the table above.

Showrooms

Finally, I want to end with a few overall showroom shots. See how many trends you can spot in each photo!

Remember, look for colors, curves (visual movement), organic materials, and texture.

So that more or less sums up my visit to Las Vegas Market. I hope you enjoyed my photo tour of the showrooms and trends.
